About the STRINGJOY Orbiters Balanced Light Gauge (10-48) Coated Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings

The Orbiters series from Stringjoy combine the impressive durability of modern coated strings with the brightness more commonly associated with uncoated strings - perhaps even brighter - thanks to the enamel coating on the nickel-plated steel wrap wire.

The Stringjoy Orbiters Balanced Light Gauge (10-48) provide players with a versatile set of electric guitar strings which work just as well with open chords as with screaming solos. The tension across the strings is perfectly judged to make playing a breeze, and combined with the sweet-edged tone from the enamel coating, these will undoubtedly become a mainstay on your favourite electric.

The Orbiters Balanced Light Gauge (10-48) set address the issue of a lack of tension on the B and low E strings for a typical 10-46 setup. The B-string is increased from 0.13 to 0.135, while the low E-string is upped from 0.46 to a beefier 0.48.

Thanks to the handmade nature of Stringjoy strings, using high quality materials and constant quality checks throughout the production process, you can expect a longer string life with great clarity and note separation.
