Fredric Effects has been making highly regarded pedals for a number of years. Founder Tim Webster, based in north London, is a fan of the eclectic - alongside classics such as his Golden Eagle (a faithful recreation of the Klon Centaur), some of his pedals, such as the Regent 150 Preamp, offer unique takes on rare East German amps and pedals.
Fredric Effects pedal enclosures are built for a hard life. Made from folded steel, they're incredibly solid and have a feeling of heft to them. The finish is exceptional, with bevelled edges on each corner. Tim uses the finest components, sourcing NOS diodes and transistors for many of his pedals.
Fredric Effects pedals can be found on the boards of pro guitarists including Future Of The Left, Kurt Vile, Biffy Clyro, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Foals, Marmozets, Arrows of Love, and Bombay Bicycle Club.
