A combination of Tubescreamer and Marshall Guv'nor circuits, the Kink Guitar Straya Drive is balls-to-the-wall rock in a pedal!
The Tubescreamer side of the pedal, on the right hand side, gives that classic mid-bump to make your guitar sing. The Straya Drive includes a toggle to switch between symmetrical and asymmetrical clipping - for smoother and more distorted tones or louder, clearer sounds respectively.
The Marshall Guv'nor was designed to replicate the sound of a Marshall valve amp. One of its most famous uses was on Gary Moore's "Still Got The Blues" album. In the Straya Drive, this side of the circuit features a FET/LED clipping toggle for two different voicings.
You can "gain stage" each side, so the Tubescreamer circuit is set at a lower gain level for crunchy, punchy rhythm, while the Guv'nor has a gainier setup for sections which require more grunt and distortion.
Alternatively, go fully bogan and kick both sides on for a rich, saturated lead rock tone.
I'll be away from my pedalboard over the festive period...but you can still browse!
I'll ship all outstanding orders on Friday 3rd January.
Happy new year!
