The Drunk Beaver Hoverla is a brand new release for 2024. It's a germanium Rangemaster Treble Booster style pedal with adjustable bias and impedance controls, enabling you to dial in the perfect sound regardless of your pickups.
Range 12 'o' clock position boosts all frequencies evenly. Turn clockwise to boost the treble and high mids while cutting the low frequencies. Turn anti-clockwise to push the lower frequencies.
Master Adjusts output volume.
Impedance Adjusts the signal impedance when the pickup simulator (PU Sim) is enabled, allowing you to adjust the interaction between your guitar and the pedal and fine-tune your tone. Turn clockwise for a louder sound with less headroom before clipping; turn anti-clockwise for a quieter, cleaner sound with some treble roll-off.
Bias Adjusts transistor bias point. 12 'o' clock position gives a gritty sound. Turning clockwise gives it a slightly "out of control" spitty character with tons of texture, while turning anti-clockwise gives a smoother sound with more gain and a little bit of extra volume. The voltage can be monitored on the LED display.
PU Sim When off, the buffer and the Impedance pot are bypassed for a classic response that may be sensitive to Hoverla's position in your signal chain. When on, Hoverla can be placed anywhere in the signal chain and the Impedance control can now be used to dial in the perfect response and tone.
