The Drunk Beaver The Forest Song is a modern reworking of the classic Tubescreamer, built using high end components and with additional options to increase the drive's versatility in all scenarios.
Uniquely, The Forest Song operates at either 18V or 30V for unrivalled headroom - boosted internally from a standard 9V power supply. The LED display shows the precise voltage the pedal is operating at.
Volume Adjusts output volume
Resonance Adjusts boost/cut level of two peak filters: 500Hz and 800Hz
Drive Adjusts gain
Mode Switch between 6 different clipping modes (see below)
Volts Select whether to operate the pedal at 18V or 30V. 18V already gives plenty of headroom compared to an original Tubescreamer, but 30V gives a beefier sound with even more headroom!
The Forest Song offers 6 clipping modes:
Boost No diodes, raw op-amp clipping
LED 2 red LED diodes
MOSFET 2N7000 transistors
Si 2 vintage silicon diodes
Ge 2 NOS Germanium DG-51 diodes
Asym Si 3 modern silicon diodes arranged for asymmetrical clipping
