    BLEAK DISTRICT ELECTRIC Sun?No V2

Crushing Tones Inspired By Sunn Model T

    £144.99

About the BLEAK DISTRICT ELECTRIC Sun?No V2

The Bleak District Electric Sun?No is a preamp inspired by the band Sunn O))), whose doomy metal sounds were produced with the help of Sunn Model T amplifiers.

Using a combination of op-amp and 3 cascading JFET (e204) gain stages, the Sun?No is impressively versatile and amp like, and responds well to changes in dynamics. It captures the essence of the Sunn Model T sound, unleashing massive distortion!

Like the amp, the Sun?No works great with bass (the Model T was originally designed as a bass amp).

    Sun?No Modes

Toggle between Vintage and Reissue modes to capture the differences between the original Sunn Model T amp and its modern reissue. Vintage mode provides less gain but has more headroom, great for cleaner sounds, while Reissue throws in all the gain for incredible amounts of saturated distortion on tap.

The single active tone control ranges from bass-forward to treble-forward. When centred, there's a slight notch in the low mids, mirroring the Sunn Model T's EQ section. New for this V2 version is the EQ toggle, which switches between two different EQ sweeps for the Tone control.

If you're after a preamp bursting with rich, organic sounds capable of going from light overdrive to ambient doomy tones, the Sun?No is probably what you are looking for.
