About the BLEAK DISTRICT ELECTRIC Joy
The Bleak District Electric Joy is a hybrid fuzz/distortion pedal which makes it incredibly simple to achieve epic tones.
Three op-amps smash into one another before the remnants of the signal are given a haircut by chunky rectifier diodes for a square-wave sound.
Joy controls
With its large control in the centre of the pedal to adjust volume, there's no chance of option paralysis here.
The second footswitch cranks the gain by around 100 times, not to boost the signal level but to achieve near-infinite sustain.
This really is a Joy to behold! (sorry...)
